Two minutes in and compelled to comment. The DGR drinking game rule #1 has to be drink every time Moe interrupts someone.

    Bring lots of booze.

    Hey turd-flushing Radio.

I am not that big Rap/Rock fan but the Beastie Boys produced tracks that are still moving, fresh, funky, simple and never had that “tatooed, offending, weight pumping, gun wearing, retard attitude” in your face. I even like and respect the fact that these mc`s learned to play their instrument from punk to “jazz” what in my opinion sometimes sounds a bit hag-ridden but i could be wrong. Anyway .. great Radio.

Dont let farts lie to you!
    Greetings Tommy

Fuckin eh boys. I hate when you do music shows. I start to get into a tune, crank it up, then hear Moe yelling something about time and it fucks with my head. Other than that though, damn great show.

Beastie Boys have always had a spot on my mix tapes…License To Ill being my primary source. Their other albums have great shit on them, but for me License has it all. From Fight to Brooklyn to Brass Monkey, just a great put it on and shut up album. Back when we were installing stereos in our trucks and going for the boom factor, we’d tune them using Slow Ride for overall sound, and Intergalactic to make sure our insides were rearranged properly from the subwoofers. And Girls. Was actually kinda surprised you didn’t play that one.

And Sabotage. Goddamn. One of my buddies had a ’74 Chrysler Newport, a fake mustache, and a strobe light…let’s just say we did a few re-creations.

I was never a big Beastie Boys fan until several albums into their career. Sure I dug Brass Monkey and stuff when I was in middle school but it wasn’t until Ill Communication did they blow my mind. I dug that they went from New York hooligans to musicologists that got into Buddhism, Trip Hop, Punk, Jazz, Rap, & causes like Save Tibet. They turned me onto to HarDCore punk like Bad Brains but also Jimmy Smith. Forever thankful for that.

    Great show!

    One other thing I forgot!

Anthrax did a cover of Lookin Down The Barrell Of a Gun for the Beavis and Butthead Experience cd back around ’95. Damned great tune!

Just finished the Beastie Boys eps. It brings me back, like last week. I haven’t stopped listening to the Boys since ’86. Unfortunately the last time I saw them live was in ’98 for their Hello Nasty tour. Awesome shizzle!

Keep up the funky fresh shows guys! And that Kriek sounds awesome. Too bad Odell’s distribution excludes Texas. Oh well – thats why I make my own!

    Out!
