    I don’t watch a lot of television – Community, hockey, and soccer is the extent of my television viewing. When I saw commercials for Mike & Molly and Whitney I thought they were a stereotypical Canadian-made show since they looked so awful.

    I watched the first season Downton Abbey between Christmas and New Year’s after hearing a fair bit on twitter and it was quite enjoyable though a bit soapy. It’s about an aristocratic estate in 1910s England with an upstairs/downstairs dynamic. You guys might enjoy it if you are able to buy into the setting and not mind the soap-opera nature of it.

    Go watch Tucker & Dale vs Evil right now.

    It’s streaming on Netflix and will make you piss your pants with tears.

    I like how you talked about “Attack The Block,” followed by “Paul,” and then neglected to mention that Nick Frost was actually in both movies. It sucks that he’s only remembered when he’s paired with Simon Pegg… :-P

    I watched “Super 8″ a few weeks ago and was a little disappointed. Sure, it resembled those movies of the 80s, and the production values were good, but somehow I was left wanting. Maybe if the alien turned out to be more cute and cuddly? I think it was the script I was unimpressed with: for mostly unknown actors, those kids did a good job.

    Finally, my wife and I watched “Bridesmaids” and were also unimpressed by it, but I think we’d heard so much hype that it had a lot to live up to. In the same weekend, we watched “Horrible Bosses,” and THAT flick had me rolling on the floor. My wife preferred it over “Bridesmaids” as well.

    And I’ll be watching “Tucker & Dale” this weekend. It’s been in my queue, but I haven’t had the time.

    @Zinswin: Added.

    @ilduce: Ha! I forgot about that bit-part. I do love Nick Frost, though. Can’t believe I spaced his name during the podcast.

    Bridesmaids wasn’t great, but I really enjoyed it and it was awesome to see that a “chick flick” can be made that isn’t sappy, estrogen-laced bullshit.

    RE: Super 8, I will admit that the movie starts really strong and then seems to lag a little bit. But it’s still one of my favorites of the year.

    Also, I saw Warrior after we recorded this episode. Holy shit: GREAT movie.
