Great year wrap-up, guys. Looking forward to part 2, and think you should do a political wrap up too.

I’m curious which are your favorite podcasts you’ve done this year. I really liked the Star Trek one, personally. Got me to re-watch the entire first series.

Didn’t you guys used to do The Daryl Awards or something at the end of the year? What happened to that?

  3. John Says:

The Daryls were when we did our top video games of the year. We don’t really play enough games anymore to do the Daryls.

    Here’s the music list:

    Anthrax “Worship Music”
    Fleet Foxes “Helplessness Blues”
    Bon Iver “Bon Iver”
    Foo Fighters “Wasting Light”
    The Black Keys “El Camino”
    Radiohead “The King of Limbs”
Arctic Monkeys “Suck it and See”
    Tom Waits “Bad as Me”
Beastie Boys “Hot Sauce Committee, Vol. 2″
    The Cars “Move Like This”
    Wilco “The Whole Love”
Okkerville River “I Am Very Far”
Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi “Rome”
The Flaming Lips – All sorts of crazy shit
    The Roots “Undun”
King Creosote and Jon Hodges “Diamond Mine”
    Adele “21″
The Vaccines “What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?”

Great year gents! I can’t wait for part 2 of the wrap up and hope you do a ‘best of’ beer list. I really enjoy the beer talk integration.

  6. Tex Says:

Damn you! I was about to give you shit for not having Adele on this list…have you watched her Live at Royal Albert Hall DVD yet? Fucking amazing. I cried.

    I mean my girlfriend cried.

I was busy shooting animals and drinking their blood.

  7. ELewis17 Says:

I re-listened to the music bit and did the exact same write-up. :)

  8. Tex Says:

Dammit! I hit Submit. Great lists so far, guys. I think you sold another copy of Beastie Boys and Fleet Foxes on those plays alone. The Gaslight Anthem also had a release last year that I’d like to humbly submit. It’s an iTunes Session album of covers, but it’s Gaslight, so I had to tell you. Brian Fallon also has a side project with Ian Perkins called the Horrible Crowes, who did their album in September. It’s a decent listen, listen to Behold the Hurricane!

And…uh…Bush came out with Sea of Memories. That one is…eh…it’s there. The Sound of Winter is an alright song, but overall it’s not the greatest. SHUT UP!

Do The Roots just get a pass for releasing a 38 minute long album?
