I have to admit it. Today’s new Google front end is pretty awesome.

When I first saw it I was like “Oh cool, an animated Pac-Man logo”. Then I clicked it, doubting that it would actually play. It plays! It even has two-player if you insert more coins. With this tribute to an awesome game and my love for Chrome, I think I’m becoming a Google fanboy.

when the music started, I was like, ‘no way’ I reached for the arrow keys and was blown away. One of my favorite things in a long time.

At first I thought it was just going to be a picture. Then I heard music and thought “that is neat.” So I went back to the Google tab and saw the ghost moving around and thought “wow, they even animated it.” Then I noticed that Pac-Man wasn’t moving and so I touched an arrow key and started playing.

If you click on Insert Coin twice you can play 2 player with Ms. Pac-man.

Apparently, Humanity spent 4.8 million hours playing this on Google’s homepage. I’m not entirely sure what to make of that statistic.

If people were like me (played it for about 10 minutes), then approximately 28.8 million people would have played it, for about 10 minutes each.
