Phil’s review of Final fantasy 13 has got me thinking about buying this game.
I like JRPG’s but had written off the Final fantasy series. I have felt they had become too stagnant in terms of story and need to change things up while also finding a better battle system.
I think I may get this one, but I only have a 360.
I think you should do more 3am shows. It is great when you get all crazy and shit.

You now have the only Final Fantasy review that’s gotten me a little curious. Well done.
Shmopera was sweet. Early show banter was hysterical

Great episode, guys. You get even punchier when it’s so late at night.
By the way, the C.H.U.D. bit was teriffic. That was true 80′s schlock put into sharp relief. Though the movie was an abysmal failure, it lodged itself firmly into 80′s pop culture. There’s even been a few Simpsons references (which is how you know you’ve made it).
Last year, I argued that any true national health care system would need to address the C.H.U.D. issue (http://bit.ly/aFb6Wp) but that was mainly because I’m deranged.
I love how truly absurd Gen-X stuff comes out of left field in your show. Keep drinking.

it should be pointed out that I did that review whilst more than a little drunk at very early in the morning (4am!!) just after recording the Shmopera solo… man I didn’t realise how close I was to the deadline getting this stuff over to Hilden.
One addition to the review: XIII made me realise that sleep is in fact optional.

I’m a little late, but as far as movie podcast go I enjoy Outside the Cinema. They cover 2 cult (or ‘genre’) movies a week and the 2 hosts both do a Top 6 in different topics like Westerns, 80′s Sci-Fi, Box art, the unseen horror list was very good because the 2 hosts took it different ways.
But if you don’t like a lot of soundbits in your shows then stay away from them.
