DJ Incompentent sold me on DJ Hero – I like the idea of no fail so you can just have fun with the songs. It could be just a cool game to throw in and play when you want to kill some time.
You Will Die sounded pretty cool too – I like the idea of the game taunting you… the only thing is Australia doesn’t get Comunity Games so no way for me to pick it up. Anyone know if there would be a PC version to play?

Champions Online offered a lifetime subscription as well, but they didn’t have enough and beta users got PISSED! They eventually opened up some more but it was a major debocle.
While I haven’t played the beta for Star Trek Online yet, early word on the street is mixed. The Starship combat is awesome, while the away missions are ….meh.
They must have left their pantys on the ground Moe.

I’ve been playing the STO Beta for the past week or so, after pre-ordering on Steam. I’m a huge Star Trek Fan, so this was a no-brainer for me, though I’ve never played an MMO.
I’ve been commenting quite a bit on the GWJ Forums about it, but in brief, Ryker is right: starship combat is pretty awesome and the away missions are less interesting. Cryptic has been doing a good job of improving server stability and reducing lag since last week, so I think they’re steadily ramping up to a decent product. Personally, the starship combat alone is enough to hold my interest for awhile, as the ship customization is unbelievable. The away missions are a nice “aside,” so far as I’m concerned, allowing for some variety in the action that is engaging enough for my purposes.
While I never played Star Wars Galaxies, I heard that one of the big problems with it was that everyone wanted to be a Jedi, which limited the number of folks playing as the other classes. That doesn’t seem to be the problem with STO, as everyone gets to be a Captain of their own ship, and you can specialize your Captain and your ship nearly any way you want. It remains to be seen if SWG and STO will share the same fate.
We’ll see how it goes, though. For now, I’m satisfied with the Beta and I look forward to the final product launch.
