CastMedium – Casting Gear

December 18th, 2009 by John

Ever wonder what sort of equipment we use to record the podcast? I know it seems strange that recording what is essentially a parade of dick and fart jokes requires any sort of thought, money, or know-how, but the truth is that we – (mainly Hilden) – have invested loads of cash into our equipment.

So if you’re curious about what we use, how we use it, and how it’s all set up so we can get that patented Drunken Gamers Radio so-filthy-you-can-taste-it sound, check out the new article over at CastMedium where Hilden lays it all out in great detail.

Thanks to the guys over at CastMedium for continuing to treat us as though we’re somehow relevant.

Love the article. Being as I’m majoring in broadcasting and frequently take audio centric classes, I’m actually pretty familiar with the kind of hardware you guys are using. It’s almost like I’ve actually learned stuff. Who knew.

Just a tid bit for you guys, the channel mixer you use is very close to what we use when we have to go out to a shoot for an interview and the such.

Anyway, great job you guys, keep up the good work and know that your passion for quality really shows on the podcast. The hardware merely reflects that.

Folks over at CastMedium seem to be digging the article as well. Glad folks are enjoying it. It was a lot of fun to write. I love geeking out over audio shit.
