Oh god so many things went through my head when watching that. Like, did you notice the 2 black guys in the back that just stayed in the back and did nothing? Where they there to lend some authenticity? Notice that the girls on stage never said anything? I liked that. The kept saying Democrats, but I think what followed were made up words because I listened twice and still have no clue. What was up with the ending? I think it might be a lame way to say they’d die for Christ but I really want it to be them showing their love for Tupac and Biggy. That would be so awesome and awkward, awkward like giving side hugs.

Good times. I liked how the guy in the second “verse” kept wanting to grab his junk, but then remembered he’s a “Christian” performer.

Sigh… Yet another example of trying way to hard to connect.

Back in high school, I went to a church youth conference up in Chicago where they had a Christian rap duo called “Christ Syde.” All they did was take songs by Dre and Snoop and change the lyrics. The experience, while amusing, involved the worst “music” I’d ever heard.
And we got stuck in a room watching multiple songs, without the ability to skip the YouTube video…sigh…

This is like the movie Malibu’s Most Wanted. Except with Jesus, and I laughed.

Efram Smith runs a church downtown called “The Sanctuary” where they have REAL Christian Rap. Had to go and relisten to it to purge my brain of …well whatever that was…

I mean, let’s be honest here, I’m not a huge fan of rap or hip-hop anyway…but really…
On a related note, carrotpanic, your mad beatz make my head spin… Thank God I don’t have a tune to go with that, or it’d be stuck in my head until The Rapture…
