Just remember, Disney has subsidiaries that make R rated movies, so I wouldn’t be too concerned about a return to the Marvel comics of the 70′s or something. Of course, there might be Marvel on Ice from Feld Entertainment, but that’s another story.
Also, Walking Dead is Image.

IMAGE!
Good call.
Yeah, I’m not worried about the Marvel/Disney thing at all.

Ok, so due to a … um … clerical error on my part, two segments are missing from this show. So here they are, in text form*…
First missing segment:
John: NUMBER FIVE! Our top picks of the week.
Hilden: Alright, Activision’s milking the cow with Guitar Hero 5.
Moe: Bitches.
John: Moe, you’re so sexy.
Moe: Let’s make out.
(John and Moe start making out while Hilden attempts to move on)
Hilden: Uh…and ah…
(Slurping and jerking in the background)
Hilden: I think I’m gonna be sick. Um…Muramasa for the Wii is also out…
Moe: (Grunt, grunt)
John: Yeah…right there…
Hilden: (Heave! Blaaaaaaaargggggg!)
Second missing segment:
Hilden: Next week!
John: (Zipping up his pants) Next week we will be talking about Cursed Mountain for the Wii.
Moe: Ooooh…that game makes me a bit randy in the pants.
Hilden: Oh god, not again.
Phil: Wait, let me get my camera this time.
John: Hold on, hot stuff. We’ll also be talking about Muramasa for the Wii.
Moe: Two Wii games?! Ooooh, so hot!
John: Come here, big boy. You’re insatiable, aren’t you?
Phil: The lads back home will never believe this!
And there you have it.
*This may or may not have been how it actually happened. But you get the gist.

1960 Batman Video game… BEST IDEA EVA!!! How I wish I could get great lines like these….
Robin: Gosh Batman, the nobility of the almost-human porpoise.
Batman: True, it was noble of that animal to hurl himself into the path of that final torpedo. He gave his life for ours…
Riddler: We shall spring them from The Joker’s Jack-In-The-Box, through that window, out over the sea, and into the waiting arms of The Penguin’s Exploding Octopus…
Batman (reading one of riddler’s riddles) : What has yellow skin and writes?
Robin: A ballpoint banana.
Batman: Of course…
Ahhh nobody writes this good anymore

I’m only partway through the episode but I have to say:
John, you missed Pinball on a Stick?! Hell, I was trying to figure out a way to drive out to Minnesota just for that! There is about 50 different games there, everything from EMs to modern games.
Hilden, what the crap are you talking about how they can adjust the magnets under the playfield? In all of the pins that I own, only one has a magnet and there is no adjustments for it.
I should do a ‘science’ series on pinball for y’all to teach you some techniques and whatnot.
By the way, Elvira and the Party Monsters is a pretty awesome game, that’s a great find!

Hilden is referring to the black magic voodoo that keeps sending the balls straight past our flippers. We know this to be black magic, for a fact, because there is no possible way in the entirety of all things that we could ever display subpar proficiency at the pinball. No possible way.
Clearly… black magic.

Philthy, being a video game fan as well as digging the metal tracks, I can’t imagine you don’t know about Guilty Gear XX and the awesomeness thereof, but you made no mention of it throughout all the music talk and name drops, so I figured I’d double check.
A japanese dude named Ishiwatari Daisuke is responsible for the game concept, story, and he also wrote the music. Part of what makes this my favorite 2D fighting game is the killer soundtrack. Check it out if you haven’t.
That goes for the rest of you too.

The Orson Scott Card/Night Man analogy had me rolling. Now I can’t shake the feeling that the manuscripts Card sends his publisher are just reams of indescipherable crayon doodles…

a 60′s batman game could work if marketed as a comedy game like Matt Hazard was, I know it would never happen but still, it would be good
September 3rd, 2009 at 7:24 am
That 60s Batman idea is great. heh heh, bat shark repellent.
Good work Phil on the music.

Hey Arvandor, I certainly have heard of and played Guilty Gear XX. One of so many other games to mention! That’s the great thing about videogame music, there’s so much good stuff out there ^_^

Moe — Black magic I can believe. Usually though, people don’t refer to black magic as magnets
You can overcome black magic with a slight bit of shaking, and by taking better shots that are less likely to drain. You can’t adjust the black magic on the games, however, unfortunately. You can adjust the posts near the outlanes to make them tighter (easier) or looser (harder). You can adjust the angle of the game to be steeper to make it play faster or less steep and then it plays slower. You can adjust the tilt to be tighter so you can’t nudge as much or looser to allow much more nudging. Finally, you can adjust the software to make things (like starting multiball) harder to do.

Will have a dig around on eBay for some of those.

@goatdan- Ok PINBALL MASTER, I GET IT!
Kidding. In actual fact, I wasn’t trying to talk out of my ass. I used to hear stories all the time about pinball machines that had magnets you could fuck with in order to tweak play. I guess these were either unscrupulous pinball owners who moded their tables or just other guys who assumed (as I did) without actually checking with folks like Dsan Loosen.

Dudes, stop raggin on Orson Scott Card. All he said was he didn’t agree with gayness and suddenly he is the devil? What the hell! People arent allowed an opinion anymore? What happened to free speech etc?
If he starts shooting gays I will take back my comment. However, if it’s accepted that people can dislike gays… imagine gays taking the zombie/nazi role in games!
L4G Left for Gay! Trapped in a city with only gays, you must defend yourself from their mincing advances and fruity personalities, with the finest weapons a hardware store has available to you! Damn… that would be awesome

I hope John let his Atari hate loose on the next show.
And there was a Robotron for the PS so you can play that on your PS3.
