Drunken Gamers Radio: 07.26.2009

We are joined by DGR favorites, Phil Kollar and DJ Incompetent for this week’s show! Problem is, Moe got HAMMERED and as you can imagine, drove the show right off the tracks and over a cliff. Despite all that we manage to get a little coherent talk (make that very little) about Shatter and Splosion Man. Our Feature Presentation segment returns as industry legends Trickman Terry and Ken “Sushi-X” Williams give us Part I of their thoughts on Street Fighter IV. Five Things returns and Moe decides he’s not quite done with the 50 ‘Cent conversation right before the show explodes.
Our thanks (and apologies) to all our guests for their contributions to the show!
We apologize in advance. This one’s gonna be a difficult listen.
Thanks for listening!

I can’t fucking wait to listen to this.

Man we need to have drunk Moe more often. Great show guys.

Loved the Terry and Ken segment. I would love it if it was a regular/semi-regular feature.
Couch Bandits II?

We’ve actually asked those guys about doing a recurring segment and they’re interested, but I suspect they’re also quite busy in their day-to-day lives as well as running VGEvo. Hopefully we can talk them into something, though.

I hope you guys enjoy your time with Mr. Cent. It really is a fun game, especially with beer.

It was great to hear Phil Kollar and DJI on the show.
Having Sushi-X and Trickman Terry doing the special feather was a killer Idea, having them do more in the future would be very sexy.
Is Phil fired yet?
July 29th, 2009 at 1:54 pm
Yeah, unfortunately he got let go by current.com
I miss having Phil on my mp3 player every week.

That’s very sweet, carrotpanic. I’ll have to remedy that some day soon! <3

Great show guys! That LBP 9 update thing was painful! I fired up LBP to distract a 4 year old, but 35 minutes of filling of green bars ended with a tantrum and my drinking til he turned into white noise.
-I’d like to note that it was not my child, nor was he placed under my care.

Wow, wish I could be around when Moe gets drunk…Better than Christmas!
The price and the effing updates are what keeps me away from a PS3. Fix those problems, and I’m in.

What a great show. Some classic moments in there, from tondog’s voicemail to Hilden’s BC rant. You guys crack me up.
DJ, I’m glad you got to experience the Surly hangover. You know you’ve had too much Furious when you wake up in the morning with a cotton mouth and hops are the only thing you taste.
Speaking of Surly, Surlyfest is September 19th and Darkness day is October 24th. Somehow both at the brewery again, which is nice.
July 29th, 2009 at 7:31 pm
Sweet! Does this mean you’ll finally play Street Fighter 4?
July 29th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
Wow, thanks for the compliments! That was recorded by Ken and me over a decade ago (when SF2 came out)! JK. But we did record it a while ago. If you guys like it, maybe we’ll do some more.

hahahaha, and somehow I’m still not banned from the website! I am pleased!
Terry ‘n Ken, do more segments. Phil, a pleasure. Moe, I now know exactly what to do to turn you into a modern Cornholio from Beavis & Butthead. John, I’m on it. Hilden, I’m convinced our twin Kutaragi blasphemy will bring about the sonic recreation of the end of the world. Also, great editing job jesus christ. The gaming rants were legendary. Northside, count the number of times you say ‘anyway’ and never stop drunk dialing. Nate, see I’m back home alive somehow, prepare to die of alcohol on saturday. Zinswin, Surly be a motherfucker, I also brought the guys Founder’s Cerise if you know the stuff. Everybody else, thanks for listening to me talk about nonsense and other synonyms.

Wow, just finishing listening to it… Moe DOES need to get drunk more often! That was some seriously funny stuff!! Great to hear Phil and DJI as guests! Seriously awesome show. One of my favs in a while!

Phil replacing Moe CONFIRMED.

@Wolf-Bot: No man, I thought the “special feather” was a sexy touch. In fact, John liked the idea so much he’s taken to stuffing them in his pants since your initial post. Says they make him feel beautiful. How bout that?
July 31st, 2009 at 4:04 pm
@Moe I am going to go and have lots of beer to get that image out of my head.
It may have made him feel beautiful but how did he look?
Did he use tar? I hope he took the DS out first.

By the way you guys can call me carrot for short, or Chris. We’re all buds here.
