Listener Amar sent over this list of free shooters for you all to enjoy. There are some well-known classics on this list, but also a few obscure ones. War Twat? Sounds great to us! Most of these are found at The Indie Game Database, so head on over there for more great indie games.

    Don’t forget about Blue Wish Resurrection.

    Blue Wish and Blue Wish Resurrection are the two best free shmups out there.

    I’ve seen about half of these before, I’ll do some mini reviews once I’ve checked em all out.

    A Typical Wednesday Afternoon is a free flash based shmup that gets points for its techno version of some Sonic song as well as it’s cool visual effects!
