Wait a second, when was this recorded? I just assumed it was from last time he was on, but he mentioned that he “just got back from Leipzig”. Will Phil be on this week’s DGR? And if so, how much poison did you put in his drink?

Hey, I just started reading Watchmen for the first time, and it is really good (as everyone said of course). One of you said your wife was reading it, how is she liking it so far?
I’m glad Phil mentioned Y: The Last Man as being awesome – I think I’ll pick that one up after I’m done with Watchmen.
When I was in middle/high school I was really into the Marvel comics super heroes and villians. It actually all started with collecting comic cards! Anyone else collect those baseball card wannabes? The height of comic cards had to be both the Marvel Masterpieces and the Flair cards – amazing art and pretty fun to collect!

Yeah, Mitch. Phil’s on DGR this week. And, no poison. Only love.
You just can’t stay mad at that guy when he looks at you with those eyes.

Damo, i have a whole binder full of Marvel cards.
some of them are fucking cool.
i have a bunch of Masterpieces, Venom and Spider-man mostly. I have some Clear Chrome and some badass see through cards. Only the coolest kids in class would have those cards.
Ah, how i remember spending recess debating on what cards to trade for and also which superhero was the best!
maybe a topic to submit to RobotPanic.com?
i think i will start writing it now!

Is After Hours becoming weekly?

I hope so, that episode was totally awesome. I’m just now getting into comics, but I still thought it was really fun to listen to, and now I need to check out a lot of the ones Phil mentioned.

“Is After Hours becoming weekly?”
It’s not weekly. It’s simply that we’ve been doing them every week this month and instead of just sitting on them, it’s easier just to post them up right after we do them.
It’ll go back to it’s irregular schedule soon;)

Tyler, that sounds great! I’d love to add my comments to a thread about comic cards. Oh the hundreds of dollars of hard-earned cash I spent on those things. I remember the see-through cards, along with the hologram cards and foil special cards. Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve thought about the good old comic cards!

Just listened to this one today. We need more comic talk. I’m a DC guy, but know a good amount about Marvel. I also collected comic cards in the 90′s. The Marvel ones were so much better then the DC ones.
Kevin Smith’s Daredevil started the Marvel Knights run of Daredevil and was great. Anybody who hasn’t read it, needs to go and pick it up.
